Hurco held its annual IndyCar Fast Friday VIP event recently. Customers throughout the Midwest toured Hurco's international headquarters in the morning and proceeded to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where they were treated to a VIP experience from Hurco's IndyCar partner Ed Carpenter Racing (ECR). Each year, attendees participate in a racing-themed competition. This year, they raced against one another for cash prizes on classic Indianapolis 500 video game simulators.
The winners were:
- First place - $200 - Scott Haycraft from Hannibal Machine
- Second place $100 - Matt Weida from Canton Gear
- Third place $50 - Dennis Young from Stellar Technologies.
In addition to machine demonstrations at Hurco, several of Hurco's distributor partners attended the event and the following industry vendors exhibited: Iscar, MillStar, WorkNC, Algra Tooling, Bucci Industries, Rego-Fix, Hangsterfer's, Jergens and Allied Machine & Engineering.
After the open house at Hurco, attendees were shuttled to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) where they had full suite access to ECR's suite located in the famed Pagoda, behind-the-scenes garage tours and pit passes.
