Filtered Receiving Cyclone
September 1, 2016
"We have been asked by numerous manufacturing customers to solve their dust problems," said a company spokesperson. "A common complaint is the amount of dust that is emitted from the gas exhaust on our cyclones. Typical solutions are installing hanging filter bags on the exhaust, but these are cumbersome and require emptying and cleaning. We have also supplied central dust collector systems in some plants, but these are very costly and subject to local fire and OSHA codes and inspections"
As an alternative Foremost Machine Builders has designed, built and supplied a self-cleaning filter / receiver that replaces the cyclone and hanging filter bag. The material is blown directly from the blower into this filter receiver. The dust is contained with the material, not emitted into the room.
Currently these self-cleaning filter / receivers can be used with the blowers up to 900 CFM with line sizes up to 5" O.D.
Each unit comes with six 100 micron filter bags, a tangential inlet, aluminum construction, internal baffle arrangement, an accumulator tank and solenoids for compressed air blow down and a filter pulse timer panel.
