Kingston CX-7 CNC lathe
Using the same headstocks and spindle bores as Kingston's heavy-duty HR, HP, HPX, HK and HG models, the CNC CX model is engineered for cutting long and heavy workpieces for the energy, mining, textile, paper and transportation industries.
Kingston will showcase a CX-7 (40" x 120"). It is equipped with a V8 hydraulic turret and 5.45 HP and 9.5 HP AC servomotors that drive the X- and Z-axis. The headstock has four gearshifts controlled by hydraulics for greater torque, and the main spindle has a three-point bearing support system-making it suitable for cutting heavy and extremely hard materials.
If a shop needs something smaller or larger, or longer or shorter, the CX is available in a wide variety of configurations so the machine can be customized for a manufacturer's needs. Choices available are from a 4.06", 7.09", 10.1", 12.5" or 14.8" bore; a 34" or 40" swing; and lengths from 80" - 280".
Kingston will display three other machines: the dual-turret 4.7" bore CL-38 (26" x 80") CNC lathe; the 6-meter HR-6000 (40" x 240") engine lathe; and The Pink Lady, a hot pink HJ-1100 (17" x 43") engine lathe with hot pink taper attachment and hot pink Newall DP-700 DRO. All proceeds from the sale of The Pink Lady will benefit breast cancer research and awareness.
