Carmex Precision Tools will showcase tooling designed for multitasking, as well as a new series of diamond turning inserts for hard machining.
Carmex's multi-function milling tool (MMT), designed for economy, versatility and enhanced cutting performance, can be used for a wide variety of applications, including spotting and drilling, side milling, chamfering, slotting, grooving and engraving. The ultra-fine carbide construction assures stability and wear resistance, as well as enhanced surface finish.
The MT drill combines drilling, chamfering and thread milling in a single operation that reduces cycle times and eliminates tool changing.
Constructed of solid carbide, the two-fluted drill/thread milling cutter with 45° chamfering can generate both right- and left-hand internal threads and can be used for blind or through-hole drilling. Featuring internal coolant and constructed of optimized carbide, the MT drill is suitable for aluminum and cast iron applications and produces a high-quality thread surface.
In response to the growing requirement for hard machining capabilities, Carmex has introduced new diamond CBN and PCD turning inserts. CBN inserts are designed to deliver high precision performance while maintaining enhanced surface finish in hardened and heat-treated steels up to 72 HRc, high speed steel (HSS), high alloyed steels hardened to 45 HRc and higher, super Ni based alloys, grey cast iron, ductile and graphite.
The PCD inserts are designed for excel in non-ferrous, plastic and composite applications. Available in one and two cutting edge configurations, Carmex diamond inserts are engineered to deliver higher performance and longer tool life.
