Masoud Harooni

TRUMPF Inc. has recently made changes to its product management teams.

Adi Buerkler has been named Product Manager of TruLaser Tube for the Laser Product Group. In this new position, Buerkler will directly report to Mark Bronski, Product Group Manager for TruLaser Products.

Buerkler's career with TRUMPF began in 1998 at TRUMPF in Gruesch, Switzerland, as a mechanical engineer. Buerkler then joined TRUMPF Inc. in Farmington, CT, in 2001. There he held two positions prior to becoming the manager of the International Service Competence Center. Buerkler holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the GBC Business School in Chur, Switzerland, and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Over the last 14 years, Buerkler has gained a broad background in 2-D laser cutting machines. He has also provided TRUMPF customers with technical expertise by collaborating with TRUMPF's engineering, service, assembly and training departments.

In his new role, Buerkler is responsible for expanding TRUMPF's market share by helping fabricators realize the benefits of laser tube processing. He will work together with TRUMPF's TruLaser Tube customers to help optimize their tube cutting capabilities and will serve as a technology expert, providing product and process support to the sales organization.

Masoud Harooni has been named Product Manager of TruLaser Weld, a new position for the Laser Product Group. Harooni will directly report to Bronski.

In 2011, Harooni began his PhD studies in mechanical engineering with a minor in laser welding at the Research Center for Advanced Manufacturing at SMU in Dallas, TX. Harooni has received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering.

Following graduation in May 2014, Harooni worked as a Laser Welding Engineer at a Tier 1 automotive supplier. He served as part-time faculty for Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) where he developed and taught a Modern Manufacturing Processes course. Harooni began his career with TRUMPF at the Smart Factory in Chicago in May 2017 as a Senior Advanced Technology Engineer.

Harooni will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the TruLaser Weld group. In his new role, he will work to develop resources and processes to enhance TRUMPF's customer product demonstrations. Harooni will also work to enhance TRUMPF's training to further advance customers' knowledge and proficiency on the TruLaser Weld.
