Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc. Awarded Safety Certificate from the NTMA

National Tooling & Machining Association recognizes Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc. for its safety performance record in 2017

Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc., standard chucks, advanced chucks, custom engineered workholding and steady rests manufacturer, was awarded a certificate of safety from National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) for its safety performance record in 2017. The award also cites Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc. that the safety record is among the best in the workholding industry.

Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc. Operations Coordinator Veronica Horta stated, "We are proud to have earned the Safety Performance Certificate from the NTMA for our 2017 safety record. As an in-house manufacturer of customer workholding and fixtures, chuck modifications and repair and rebuild service for our chucks, rotary tables and hydraulic cylinders, achieving the highest safety performance is our number one goal at Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc."

The NTMA's Annual Safety Award Survey is based on the OSHA Form 300A, which Federal Law requires companies with more than 10 employees to complete and post visibly in their plant February 1 through April 30 of the year following the year covered by the form. The purpose of the survey is to present the top-performing companies with an NTMA Safety Award Certificate, as well as provide NTMA the composite data that will allow them to represent the member with OSHA and other regulatory agencies. A company's eligibility to receive this award is determined by a calculation using the number of injuries versus the total number of man-hours worked in that calendar year.
