New i401 Laser on CNC Machine Series

MultiCam has launched Synrad's new Firestar i401 laser on its 2000 Series CNC machines.

"The Synrad i401 laser produces a 400 watt beam from a single tube. It features four field replaceable integrated radio frequency modules for ease-of-maintenance. The new design is up to 23 percent more energy efficient offering immediate savings on electrical costs. In addition, it weighs 24 percent less than previous models, which offers significant CNC motion control advantages. The i401 laser's beam quality has the ability to produce consistent, high-quality parts over a large work surface," said a company spokesperson.

MultiCam 2000 Series lasers are heavy-duty, industrial grade machines designed to cut and engrave a wide variety of materials. According to the company, laser machining offers advantages over other cutting technologies, allowing the user to cut highly accurate parts with excellent edge finish and minimal wasted material. All MultiCam lasers are certified safe by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health, (CDRH).

Multicam manufactures an array of machines including router, digital finishing, knife, plasma, waterjet and laser.
