New Abrasive Buff

Osborn has introduced the new Jaeger Buff abrasive buff treatment to its JacksonLea line of buff products.

Osborn has added abrasive directly into this buff product, which is designed to increase the cut rates, productivity and life of its sisal buff products. Osborn offers the dip treatment on bias sisal, open-face sisal, open-face cloth sisal and sisal finger buff products.

The Jaeger Buff abrasive buffs are designed to perform well in aluminum and steel wheel applications, stainless steel, steel and aluminum automotive parts and accessories applications including bumpers, push bars, grills, trim, step bars and exhaust components. The new abrasive buffs are also suited for use on cookware castings and cutlery.

"The Jaeger Buff is Osborn's best-performing cut and buff treatment yet," said Bob Pinchot, Business Development Manager at Osborn. "One of our most difficult applications required using only a buff to remove the pitting and stretch from the forming process on a stainless product. The Jaeger Buff not only did the job of an abrasive cutting wheel, it also cut the cycle time in half. Best of all, a light cut and color process was all that was needed to bring out a perfectly smooth and bright, finished surface."
