Latest Version of KeyMarkUp Multi-CAD Viewer Available

The newest version of KeyMarkUp Multi-CAD Viewer is available from Kubotek USA. KeyMarkUp Multi-CAD Viewer gives users the ability to view almost three dozen file formats. It also aids in estimating, quoting, collaboration and communication, with no CAD software required.

KeyMarkUp adds to its suite of multi-CAD viewing/export capabilities with an add-on module for the JT file type. JT is a compact ISO-standardized, neutral data format. It is often used in application processes after geometry creation. Other improvements include the update of file importers, the import of CADDS 3D files and improved CGM Export, especially for technical documentation. KeyMarkUp can open large assembly files and nearly all of the most popular 2D and 3D CAD formats, including CATIA V4 and CATIA V5 (2D and 3D), Pro/Engineer and Creo (2D and 3D), JT Open, I-DEAS, 3D XML, VDA-FS, SolidWorks (2D and 3D) and Siemens PLM NX. In all, 34 file formats can be viewed using KeyMarkUp.

"The quick open option, which gives users a fast way to open large assembly file, is now combined with the precise open option," said a company spokesperson. "This means users will not have to sacrifice detail in lieu of speed. The structure-tree has also been enhanced to display meta-data and other important file information. In all, the improvements to KeyMarkUp make it a valuable, go-to alternative for any company who needs to view CAD files, large assemblies or other 3D information without the burden of multiple viewing packages or additional CAD software licensing."

Matt Carr, V.P. Sales and Support at Kubotek USA, said, "With even more supported file types, KeyMarkUp gives engineers a powerful method to measure, analyze, annotate, print and export CAD data for better communication and collaboration and more accurate quoting. Optional exporting and mold and die modules, along with an easy-to-use interface, mean KeyMarkUp can provide enhanced functionality and value to anyone who wants to view and communicate CAD data."
