Modig Machine Tool US Inc. Announces Distribution Agreement with Hartwig

Modig Machine Tool US Inc. (Chicago) and Hartwig, Inc. (St. Louis) have executed a multi-year distribution agreement. Hartwig will assume exclusive end user distribution of the full Modig product line in 15 states, as well as provide installation and warranty services for customers in these areas. The states supported are Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

Modig US President David J. Waldron said, "Hartwig and Modig are well suited. Modig's innovative technology, optimized for the aircraft industry, is recognized for dramatic reduction in production time, leading to lower manufacturing costs. Founded in 1948 and focusing on the aircraft industry since 1988, Modig has continuously enhanced its reputation through its HHV extrusion mill and 6-axis FlexiMill. Hartwig's stellar reputation as a front-line distributor in the machine tools sector and for outstanding after the sale service completes our value proposition."

Geoff Hartwig, President of Hartwig, Inc., added, "The forecast for the aerospace industry, along with Modig's ability to quickly customize its equipment for specific customer applications and needs, gives us a very complete go-to-market strategy. Our mutual ability to continue to improve upon all levels of component manufacturing for aluminum and composite materials will set us apart and give our customers an added advantage for the foreseeable future."
