ByLaser 6000 Incorporated into Large Format Series

Bystronic has incorporated the ByLaser 6000 watt resonator, now with advanced features, into the ByStar L 4025 series of laser cutting machines. With the ByStar L, large format sheets with widths of up to 8' and lengths up to 39' can be processed with enhanced cutting precision, according to the company.

The ByStar L utilizes a short beam delivery system and autofocus for accuracy and beam stability across the entire cutting table. "The Bystar L is capable of cutting materials up to 1 inch with speed and accuracy, due to the efficient ByLaser 6000 watt resonator equipped with solid state power supplies and a maintenance-free magnetic bearing turbine (MAG) that reduces maintenance and repair costs," said a company spokesperson.

With the division of the cutting table into work zones, users can load multiple sheets and process multiple programs onto a single table for extended processing. The versatile Bystar L is also capable of processing tube profiles with the rotary axis tube option.

Advanced Features for ByLaser 6000 Resonator

Bystronic presents advanced features for the Bylaser 6000 watt resonator. The Bylaser 6000 Watt resonator now incorporates advanced mirror detection systems: End Mirror Sensor (EMS) and Output Coupler Sensor (OCS).

These new features will automatically monitor the conditions of the two most important mirrors in the resonator and will shut down the resonator in the case of a fault. This is a key feature of maintaining continuous process safety, especially when running an automated lights-out operation.

Another new advanced feature of the Bylaser 6000 is the incorporation of a Magnetic Blower (MAG), which is designed to provide a wear-free and maintenance-free turbine blower and requires no lubrication or other maintenance tasks. The Bylaser 6000 resonator already features wear-free solid state power supply components that are designed to reduce maintenance and repair costs.

Bystronic has incorporated a power saving mode into all machines equipped with the ByLaser 6000 (and ByLaser 4400BCL) series resonators. According to the company, the new Power Saving Mode reduces the electrical power consumption of the complete laser cutting system by 50% to 70% during standby or non-cutting times. Customer benefits include reduced energy costs, reduced carbon footprint and possible state or local incentives for electrical efficiency.
