ABB Celebrates Completion of Facilities
November 1, 2014
(l-r) Ron Tucker, Aaron Aleithe and Greg Scheu cut the ribbon at ABB's new office facility in Wauwatosa, WI.
ABB officially opened its new office facility on Discovery Parkway in Wauwatosa, WI, and its office/manufacturing site on Glendale Avenue in New Berlin, WI, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Nearly all of the 725 employees that work at the ABB Southeastern Wisconsin sites were on hand to mark the occasion.
"The business story of the multiple divisions represented at these sites is remarkable," said Greg Scheu, Region Manager, NAM. "Since 2001-2002, ABB has grown to four times its size. This new office site and the complete renovation of the manufacturing site are a great statement about how the teams here are helping customers succeed."
The building at Discovery Parkway is Silver LEED certified, and incorporates ABB drives and controls throughout the HVAC system. At the manufacturing site on Glendale Blvd., the renovation included manufacturing floor and training room expansions, as well as the additions of new offices, conference rooms and workspaces. ABB engineers also designed a state-of-the-art Class 100 Clean Operating HVAC Room that application engineers use to showcase the HVAC building systems that ABB automation solutions and experts can help design for end users.
