United Grinding North America, Inc., will highlight the latest advancements in grinding at an open house hosted by Hales Machine Tool, Inc., the company's distributor for the upper Midwest. During the event on May 5-8, representatives from the company will conduct knowledge sessions on its software and how surface and profile, cylindrical and tool grinding technologies can optimize productivity and profits for manufacturers.
"Attendees will see various machine demonstrations and learn about the HELITRONIC Tool Studio, the CAD/CAM software package for creating a wide variety of tool types. Mike Hilbert, Applications Engineer for UNITED GRINDING, will demonstrate how easy it is to change geometric features of a cutting tool with just a few mouse clicks," said a company spokesperson.
UNITED GRINDING representatives will also present knowledge sessions on:
- STUDER Production System - PuLs: William Cram, Regional Sales Manager for the Cylindrical Division, will provide an overview of UNITED GRINDING's PuLs corporate philosophy and training program and show how the initiative is benefiting customers by reducing production times.
- Creep Feed Grinding Applications: Phil Wiss, Regional Sales Manager for the Surface and Profile Division, will discuss the benefits of creep feed grinding and show examples of its wide range of applications.
- HELITRONIC Tool Studio: Bruce Morse, Regional Sales Manager for the Tool and Measurement Division, will present the flexibility and productivity benefits of the software including highlighting its innovative 3D modeling interface.
