AFAB Precision Machining Adds Another Ganesh Cyclone
May 1, 2015
AFAB, an Orange County manufacturer of precision machined parts and assemblies, has recently acquired the new Ganesh Cyclone - 32 CS 1-1/4" Swiss-style CNC lathe. This 7-axis twin spindle machine sports 27 tools and 11 live tools, 18 main and 7 sub spindle. Sub spindle has true linear 18" full Y-axis providing simultaneous machining by combining turning-milling front and back side work.
"This is our second Ganesh Cyclone. High performing C-Axis machining capability makes Ganesh's one setup part processing perfectly suited for complex parts. We immediately recognized increased capacity, faster cycle times and reduced production cost," said Larry Campbell, President of AFAB Precision Machining. "We are right on track with our growth plan to establish ourselves as a premier manufacturer of complex precision machined parts and will continue to strategically add only the highest performing equipment."
"AFAB's continued commitment to technology provides for unattended manufacturing processes throughout the shop floor, allowing for lights out manufacturing. These improvements have been brought about through an ongoing focus on reduction of lead times, relentless commitment to quality, customer focused philosophy and dedication to on-time delivery," said a company spokesperson.
