Methods Machine Tools Automation Manager to Speak at EASTEC

On Tuesday, May 12 from 10:45 AM to 11:20 AM at EASTEC, Methods Machine Tools, Inc.'s Automation Manager John Lucier will present a conference session titled, "How Do Small Shops Break into the World of Automation?" The session is designed to provide information for those machine shops that may be unsure if automation is right for them.

"Do shops contact robot companies or machine tool companies? Maybe they need a robot integrator, or can they do this in-house themselves? The options can be overwhelming, but this session is designed to simplify the process and educate shops on the most optimal approach to take," said Lucier.

This talk will focus on what things to consider when buying automation, the basic parts of an automation cell, determining what type of automation cell a shop needs, and the different ways to get a cell implemented.

Conference sessions are free and will be held at the Manufacturing Brilliance Theater, located in Building #1 at the Eastern States Exposition, 1305 Memorial Ave., West Springfield, MA.
