ABB Robotics to Host Customer Days and Open House
May 20, 2015ABB Robotics will host its 12th annual Americas Customer Days and Friends & Family Open House May 20-22 at its North American robotics headquarters and training center. The event will feature more than 55 live robotic and related equipment demonstrations as well as 53 technical training seminars. Customer Days is targeted to benefit both those considering the possibility of robotic automation as well as those looking to upgrade or expand their existing robotic lines.
"Applications to be covered include packaging, material handling, assembly, machine tending, welding and cutting, press automation, painting, automotive and transportation and training and service," said a company spokesperson. "In addition to experiencing the demonstrations and technical seminars, attendees will have an opportunity to network directly with ABB Value Providers and colleagues from the United States and abroad, including executives, top-level technical experts and product managers."
The Friends & Family Open House will conclude the event on Friday, May 22 from 2 PM - 5 PM, with ABB opening its doors to the general public and all schools, robotics teams, local university students, friends and family members.
"This year Customer Days will feature the first North American appearance of YuMi, the world's first truly collaborative dual-arm robot," said the spokespseron. "Attendees will get to see the new era of robotic co-workers and discover how it can fit into the future of their business."
