Morris Great Lakes Technology Show and Open House
May 6, 2015Morris Great Lakes, a division of Morris Group, Inc., will display and demonstrate CNC machinery from leading machine tool builders at its Cranberry Township, PA, facility on May 6-7, 2015. More than a dozen models from Okuma, Tsugami, Hardinge, Bridgeport, Kellenberger and Chevalier will be featured. Product specialists from suppliers of tooling, accessories, software and related technology will also exhibit productivity enhancing products and services, integrated with live cutting demonstrations.
According to the company, machinery will range from entry level lathes and Swiss types to horizontal machining centers, vertical machining centers, multifunction machines, multi-axis machines and grinders. Specific models will include the Okuma MULTUS U3000 Multitasking Machine, the Tsugami B0327-5AX 32 mm Swiss-style chucker convertible machine with B-axis, the new Bridgeport CONQUEST V1000 VMC with Mitsubishi control and the new Hardinge CONQUEST H51 Collet Ready Spindle Turning Center. A Kellenberger KEL-VISTA Universal Grinding Machine will be displayed by the Hardinge Grinding Group while Chevalier will exhibit the Smart B8-18III Multi-Function High Precision Surface Grinding Machine.
Staff members from the distributor's sales, application engineering, service and productivity groups will be joined by product and engineering experts from its machine tool partners. Machine-side presentations will show guests how to reduce the number of machining operations, improve part quality and maximize machine utilization and productivity.

Event hours will be from 9 AM to 6 PM on Wednesday, May 6. Hours will be extended to 7 PM on Thursday, May 7 to include a pig roast and barbecue for guests. Lunch and beverages will be served both days. Free giveaways and door prizes are planned. Guests are encouraged to register in advance.
