ThermoFlex Expands Facility and Injection Molding Capability
May 1, 2015
ThermoFlex LLC - manufacturer of thermoformed, vacuum formed, injected molded and thermoset products - has added a 990 ton injection molding machine plus a 3-axis router to its operations. Further, a 300 ton injection molding press is scheduled for installation in late 2015. The company has also expanded its office space to accommodate the needs of its enginnering, accounting, purchasing, program management and sales staff.
"These moves increase our capability to engineer, prototype and manufacture a broader range of injection molded custom OEM components," said Greg Hancock, ThermoFlex Vice President and General Manager. "We are now well positioned to aid OEMs in developing new or improved products by offering the advantages of thermoforming during the prototyping stages of product development and testing as well as full production using injection molding.
"These improvements also allow us to better service and support the continuing growth of the reusable/returnable packaging needs of manufacturers to protect their products during shipping and in-process handling. These products include large, thermoformed and vacuum formed trays, plus injection molded containers and dunnage."
