Greiner Industries has expanded its capabilities with the recent purchase of a new vertical turning center (VTC). With the custom-built HNK VTC 40/50D, the company can machine large, heavy and complex steel fabrications.
The HNK VTC 40/50D features 400 mm x 400 mm twin RAMs (one live spindle; one turning RAM) made out of massive forged steel and provides RAM stroke of 2,000 mm (78"). The table diameter is 4,000 mm (157") and can hold heavy workpieces up to 80 tons (160,000 lbs.). It has a maximum cutting diameter/swing of 5,000 mm (196") and maximum turning height of 4,000 mm (157").
Greiner Industries specializes in heavy beams, columns, trusses and plate grinders. Its full offerings include structural steel fabrication, steel plate fabrication, miscellaneous metals fabrication, machining, rolling and forming, cutting, industrial blasting and coatings, industrial contracting, electrical contracting, mobile crane service and transit services.
