All-Inclusive Comprehensive Toolholder Catalog

BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. has replaced more than a dozen individual catalogs with a comprehensive catalog of high-precision toolholder systems from parent company BIG Daishowa. According to the company, this 296-page catalog serves as a single source for all toolholder needs, and is organized by spindle interface for easy browsing and enhanced navigation.
The catalog's Collet Chuck Program Overview section compares all BIG collet chucks in range, taper type and size, plus nut diameter. This allows users to easily narrow down all of their options to the system and series best suited for their specific application.
Other new product highlights include:
- Smart Damper Modular Design: The damping toolholder system is now available in a modular design. According to the company, this represents a more cost effective solution for deep hole finish boring since existing KAB shanks can be used with the new Smart Damper KAB extension.
- Profit Maker Tools: Two expansions to the series include 1) an extra long angle head with 4"/8"/12" extensions to adapt to existing 50-taper or HSK-A100 NBS angle heads for extended reach drilling or milling and 2) a new air power spindle RBX-12 for a max output of 120,000 RPM for micro machining.
- NC Lathe Tooling: A new venture that, according to the company, allows its high precision collet and tapping holders to adapt to machines BIG Kaiser had previously not been able to tool up. Users can choose from the New Baby or Mega New Baby system, Mega Micro Collet system or Mega Synchro Tapping Holder.
