New High-Pressure Coolant Systems
August 1, 2014
MP Systems, Inc. will display two new high-pressure coolant systems, the RA11 Adaptive Flow Pump System and the Vertically Integrated High Pressure Coolant and Mist Collection System.
The RA11 was designed to provide consistent, high-pressure coolant during machining applications that require a wide range of cutting tool sizes. The system features a new, intelligent Adaptive Flow System that automatically adapts the flow of coolant to the cutting zone.
"It automatically adjusts coolant flow in a range from 0-11 gallons per minute," said MP Systems Product Engineer Matt Kempson. "This maximizes efficiency without sacrificing power."
Additional features of the RA11 include single M-code operation, twin filter bags in a quick change canister design and an easy-to-read PLC display that alerts the operator when filters need to be replaced. Single pressure setting up to 1,000 PSI is standard and additional pressure settings are available. The RA11's diaphragm pumps utilize sealless technology. There are no sliding, wearing components mixing with the coolant abrasives and fines. The design works to ensure long life with minimal maintenance.
MP Systems' Vertically Integrated High Pressure Coolant and Mist Collection System consists of an MP Systems RTF pump system, two-ton chiller and MP1200 mist collector. "Vertically stacking the components effectively conserves shop floor space," said a company spokesperson. "Additionally, the system is easy to use, since operations for all components are integrated within a single interface."
