New High-Speed Spindles

IBAG North America will feature a variety of new spindles. The new HF 230 spindle offers 160 HP at 30,000 RPM, utilizes HSK 63 tooling system and is designed for machining center work in aircraft and automotive applications. The new HF 45 high-speed spindle offers 170,000 RPM for cutting and grinding work in micro and nano manufacturing in medical, R&D applications and more.
Also on display will be the Micro Line compact, high-speed spindles designed to fit more Swiss turning machines. Spindles are offered in sizes 16 to 33 mm diameter, speeds to 120,000 RPM and power to 390 watts. Right hand spindles are also available for greater flexibility.
For ultra precision parts manufacturing, IBAG now offers a micro collet system designed to deliver accuracies of one micron T.I.R at the collet nose and handles up to 1/8" tool diameter. Equipped for use with 22, 25 and 33 mm IBAG Micro Line high-speed spindles, including back working and right angle models, users can now achieve higher accuracies for precision milling and ultra small drilling applications now encountered with greater frequency in the medical industry and other micro manufacturing applications, according to the company.
The booth will also feature Witte vacuum workholding chucks, pumps and accessories, including the circular grid vacuum chucks that are designed to provide accurate and secure workholding for metal, graphite, ceramics, plastic and exotic alloys in standard and custom designs.
