Meeting Aerospace Challenges

Niagara Cutter has developed end mills specifically engineered to meet the new and developing challenges of the aerospace industry.

"Airframe manufacturers are faced with new challenges of machining exotic alloys and CRPFs (carbon reinforced polymer fibers)," said a company spokesperson. "These new materials are stronger and lighter than previously used materials. Niagara Cutter has answered these challenges with specially engineered tool geometries combined with CVD diamond coatings to deliver improved resistance to tool wear in abrasive CRPF materials. The patented Niagara Cutter Stabilizer with its variable geometry design and engineered PVD coatings has proven to increase milling efficiency in materials such as titanium 5553 and 6AL4V."
