Measures and Align Large Bore Mounts

Pinpoint Laser Systems, Inc. has introduced the Adjustable Bore Mount, an accessory designed for checking and aligning bores, tubes and flanges on industrial machinery. Measurements of bore concentricity, centerline, straightness and position can now be made in the field. The Laser Microgage system, when used in conjunction with the bore mount, can be used for checking extruders, bore tubes, crankshaft housings, mounting flanges, propeller shaft tubes and more.

Originally developed for a large shipyard installing drive shafts, these new mounts can accommodate bore diameters as large as 3' and as small as 2-1/2". The Laser Microgage projects a visible reference beam that extends out to 180' and is accurate to within 0.0005" inch. A digital display provides readout of the measurement location, allowing the user to understand what adjustments need to be made in the bore position and orientation. The mounts are fully adjustable and can be modified for both internal and external bore mounting as well as flange mounting. Each bore mount is made of aluminum components with stainless steel hardware.
