Two family owned businesses have joined forces to better serve the New England market. Suhner Industrial Products and Tor-Axial Drives Inc. have agreed to partner together in an effort to leverage key business strengths of each company into a market strategy that will strengthen their market presences. "With the exceptional customer support and direct customer relations that Tor-Axial is known for and the product and technical expertise of Suhner Industrial Products this partnership offers an opportunity for growth and better customer support in the New England region," said a company spokesperson.
Lee Coleman, Manager of the Automation Group of Suhner believes that this partnership will give Suhner a stronger presence in the Northeastern market. "This is an area that we have not focused on in a few years," said Coleman. "Our main focus in the last few years has been on the Southeastern and Midwest markets. We are very well established in these markets and are now looking to the Northeast."
Tor-Axial Drives Inc. provides technical and sales support for machine tool accessories, power transmission products and industrial products. Jay Krause, President of Tor-Axial Drives Inc. agrees that this business agreement will be very beneficial to his market. "Adding the automation product line of Suhner to my product offering and services will provide this market with more options for companies to improve their manufacturing operations. The products that Suhner has and the personal service that Tor-Axial will be able to provide will give customers opportunities in their manufacturing operations to cost effectively improve their operations."
Jay Krause recently visited Suhner Industrial Products for product training. The three-day training event covered the general operations of the main product line of drilling, tapping and machining units. All sales and technical personnel and sales associates go through yearly training programs. These training sessions are designed to sharpen product knowledge and also to receive training on new product releases. Suhner will be hosting another training session in June for all regional sales managers and representatives.
