imX Set for November 18-20 in Las Vegas

The second interactive manufacturing eXperience (imX) will be held November 18-20, 2013, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. imX is an innovative educational event for the manufacturing community centered on learning and collaboration. MAG IAS and Makino, Inc. are returning to the event as eXperience Partners.

"Our community makes it clear that educational events are essential as manufacturing moves ahead," said Peter Eelman, AMT Vice President - Exhibitions and Communications. "Our imX eXperience partners provide the educational foundation for the imX community through in-depth Learning Lab presentations during the event. Both MAG and Makino are recognized as thought and brand leaders in their respective areas of manufacturing and they will bring that innovation to imX with educational offerings that address critical topics relevant to the manufacturing industry."

"At Makino, we look forward to being an eXperience Partner at imX later this year," said Makino CEO Donald Lane. "imX is a unique event, designed to create opportunities for us to spend more time in meaningful dialog with customers. We certainly accomplished that in 2011 where focus was the key ingredient for us - focus on learning and focus on the customer. We believe that the continuing strength of U.S. manufacturing will be led by events like imX."

MAG President Daniel Janka said that MAG was proud to be part of the inaugural imX event. "It proved to be effective in reaching customers and prospects in a way that emphasized quality over quantity. With the improvements planned by AMT for the 2013 edition, we expect the event to build upon the original concepts while including a broader range of exhibitors and guests with even greater opportunities for education and personal attention. Our industry faces difficult challenges in implementing the latest manufacturing technology while also dealing with a skills gap. I believe events like imX will play an increasingly important role in addressing these challenges."

The inaugural 2011 imX event drew more than 3,000 eXecutive manufacturing guests who attended 72 Knowledge Bar sessions and 180 Learning Lab sessions. imX is owned and managed by AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology.
