Chevalier's SMART-B818III is designed to provide high-precision grinding and ease of operation in industries such as medical, semiconductor, aerospace and job shop products fields.
The SMART-B818III is capable of producing microfinishes of 5 RMS. The positioning accuracy is (±) 1 micron and the grinding accuracy is 1 micron. The SMART's movements are programmable in increments of 0.001 mm and include a table size of 8" x 8". The maximum distance from table to spindle centerline is 18" and wheel spindle is rated at 1,000 - 7,000 RPM and 3 HP. The SMART's standard grinding wheel size is 8" x 1/2" x 1-1/4". The machine weighs approximately 2,665 lbs, with dimensions of 80.9" x 82.36" x 82.7".
