New Wireless Grip Force Meter

"Maximizing chuck performance is critical to stabilizing the machining process, maintaining high repeatability, part quality and safety. To help customers improve and monitor the performance of their chuck, Kitagawa-NorthTech introduced a new wireless digital grip force gauge to its family of chuck accessories," said a company spokesperson. This new turning-center force sensor is designed to measure the holding force of clamped jaws and RPM. The sensor can be used to measure the chuck when it is static or dynamic, greatly increasing opportunities for more accurate readings and preventative maintenance checks. There are two standard sizes: 72 mm sensors measure 2 and 3 jaw chucks, while the 125 mm sensor measures 2, 3 and 4 jaw chucks. Both sensors come in complete sets to ensure customers are able to conduct full maintenance checks with all the accessories and tools necessary. Kitagawa-NorthTech also provides custom sensors and extension rings for larger size chucks.
