Gantry Style 5-Axis VMC

New from Mighty Viper, a high-wall gantry style simultaneous 5-axis double column vertical machining center (VMC) designed for large-size and heavy workpieces. With a 2-axis milling head, the PG5 utilizes 5-axis machining to achieve high-efficiency manufacturing.
This 5-axis machining center has a built-in 60 HP (15,000 RPM), HSK A100 spindle and offers a maximum table load of 115,000 lbs. Available table sizes are up to 137" x 236". German INA roller linear guideways on all three linear axes provide rigidity and fast feedrates.
PG5 uses Hiwin C3 class ball screws. The X and Z axes use dual ball screws and all linear axes use ball screws with cooling systems to avoid heat generation. Ball screw cooling promotes dynamic 3-axis performance by maintaining a constant temperature.
The Viper PG5 series offers a heavy-duty design and control system. The Viper PG5 can be used for aerospace, automotive and die and mold industries.
