United Tool & Machine Acquires HRI Precision Tool Company

United Tool & Machine (UTM), a contract manufacturer specializing in wire EDM, CNC and manual machining, sheet metal fabrication and metal stamping, has acquired HRI Precision Tool Company (HRI) located in Haverhill, MA.

"HRI has a strong record of technical capabilities in assembly, tooling manufacturing and CNC machining," said a spokesperson. "This acquisition allows UTM to build upon HRI's successes while also augmenting its capabilities to meet the need for responsive contract machining suppliers."

"HRI and UTI have had a shared relationship over the past few years," said UTM President Scott Fallavollita. "We see tremendous value in developing relationships with several of HRI's key customers and the diversification it brings to our customer base. HRI has a history of investing in the planning and engineering of a job upfront, and did a lot of work beyond the scope of a traditional CNC machine shop. We feel this work separates us from most other shops and we are extremely pleased to bring HRI into the UTM fold."

HRI President Harry Learned will join UTM as a Technical Sales Engineer and will be actively responding to RFQs, technical and design questions and other sales related opportunities.

UTM is an ISO 9001-2015 registered company.
