IKO International's CRBF will be displayed at IMTS 2016. These bearings feature a space-saving design, with rollers alternately crossed at right angles between inseparable inner and outer rings. Because the rollers make inline contact with the raceway surfaces, elastic deformation under load is minimal. Bearings can simultaneously accommodate loads from all directions, including radial, axial and moment loads.
IKO's CRBF feature numerous mounting holes on both the inner and outer rings, enabling easy mounting without the need for special housings and fixing plates. The roller guidance system incorporates separators between cylindrical rollers, allowing smooth and high-speed rotation.
"Because the rotational torque of CRBF is lower than that of traditional plain bearings, the difference between static and dynamic torque capacities is small," said a company spokesperson. "This enables both lower power consumption and a reduced operating temperature rise, which increases overall machine efficiency."
Basic dynamic load ratings range from 2,910 N to 84,300 N and the CRBF bearings' operating temperature ranges from -20 °C to +110° C. Applications include industrial robots, machine tools, medical equipment and other machinery requiring rigidity and accuracy in a compact footprint.
