Refresh Your Memory, Inc. will introduce its latest version of FactoryWiz DNC communication package and will showcase the latest release of FacotryWiz Monitoring at IMTS 2016.
FactoryWiz DNC has always had the ability to communicate to RS232 serial controls. However, the current release now offers a varied Ethernet connection option providing data transfer to/from machines acting as FTP Clients, FTP Servers or Microsoft SMB servers.
FactoryWiz DNC runs as a service and listens for sending or receiving requests. File transfers can be made from the user client, requested directly from the machine control or automatically sent to machine drop box by the programming system as parts are scheduled for production.
FactoryWiz DNC has the ability to collect and save on-machine inspection probe data. Once captured the data can be sent to .XLS or shared with quality systems for faster in-process review.
The touch-optimized buttons help to make FactoryWiz DNC easy to use for new operators. The navigation structure has been optimized to provide quick search access to specific machines, files and folders from any device. Clearly labeled buttons are color coded to point users to what options are available in the user's current state. Features operators use most will always be clearly visible.
FactoryWiz Monitoring boosts productivity by collecting live unbiased shop floor data, creating baseline metrics and identifying process improvement opportunities. Vital CNC machinery and other production equipment status and reports are available 24/7 on large display monitors (in common work areas), desktop monitors, mobile devices and smartphones from any web enabled product anywhere in the world.
FactoryWiz Monitoring includes configurable dashboard displays showing a variety of information in real time, providing visual manufacturing material to the shop floor, as well as manufacturing management, maintenance and quality departments.
Included production reports (usually in PDF format) can be automatically created and set up to arrive in the user's inbox according to his or her scheduled preference. Users have complete flexibility to create, modify and fine-tune standard reports and performance data that is most meaningful to their application using off-the-shelf Crystal Reports.
FactoryWiz Monitoring is MTConnect compliant but also supports direct connect protocols of CNC monitoring systems. Included native protocols such as FANUC FOCAS, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Mazak, Okuma, Haas and Heidenhain are standard with FactoryWiz Monitoring. There is no need for additional hardware/middleware for most modern Ethernet equipped machines. FactoryWiz Monitoring and DNC also supports legacy RS-232 machines using readily available non-proprietary hardware for DNC and monitoring data collection.
