New Software Module for Tool Management

The TDM Systems Global Line software module allows international manufacturing companies to quickly access the central tool database.

TDM Systems has launched its new software module TDM Global Line. "Due to the high-speed access to in-house tool data, manufacturers can increase productivity at all of its locations," said a company spokesperson. "TDM Global Line is a big step toward Industry 4.0.

"TDM Global Line offers advantages, especially to international manufacturers with global production sites. Due to the new software architecture and the data compression, all of the centrally defined tool data and graphics are available at each production facility with the click of a mouse. Customers of TDM Systems can expand their central application to other plants. The advantage is that TDM Global Line is compatible with the existing TDM database applications.

"In addition to performance, TDM Systems has placed a strong emphasis on user-friendly handling. For example, the tool search provides quick results that can be listed by item, tool assembly and tool list. The customer can also individually configure the information view on his or her screen using widgets, depending on their own requirements. A completely new software design has been developed for TDM Global Line."

With the new software module, customers can manage user rights and mandates in one central location. When entering data, concurrent data validation also recognizes incorrect entries and forgotten mandatory fields. "Another highlight for TDM customers is the initial booking functions that are already included in the first module 1.0," said the spokesperson. "This allows the tool usage to be recorded in the connected plants."

"TDM Global Line will greatly speed up the data transfer of industrial companies manufacturing around the globe," said Adir Zonta, Product Manager at TDM Systems. "This is possible because it is a new generation of software and application technology - an important step toward the future."
