New Lean Tube and Sheet Fabricating Machines at FABTECH

The LC5 tube and flat sheet fabricating machines will be one of the products featured in the BLM Group USA booth N-2010 at FABTECH 2015.

BLM Group USA, a global leader in the manufacture of tube processing solutions, will display its wide range of equipment in booth N-2010 at FABTECH 2015, November 9-12, 2015, at McCormick Place in Chicago. The company will feature its new LC5 tube and sheet fabricating machine, BC80 end machining center and three new all-electric tube bending machines, the ELECT102, the E-TURN52 and the SMART.

"The compact LC5, equipped with a fiber laser up to 4.5 kW is the only high production machine with automatic loading and unloading that can process both tube and flat sheet in a single machine. Due to its design, switching from tube to sheet is fast, adding the flexibility fabricators need to expand their laser processing capability," said a company spokesperson.

The LC5 can handle bar up to 21 ft. in length and tube to 4.75" dia. The processing of sheet metal is fully automatic and allows for sheets up to 5' x 10'. The fiber laser is suited for cutting both mild steel and highly reflective materials such as stainless steel and aluminum.

The BC80, is a high production and completely automated end machining center ideal for cut to length, chamfering, facing, boring and threading of tube and bar. The new technology is the next generation of integrated CNC machining centers from BLM Group and is designed for 24 hour production processing tube up to 3.15" (80 mm) dia. and lengths from 0.4" to 13" (10-350 mm). The unit is suited for high-volume bushing production.

"The ELECT102 all electric tube bender brings advanced levels of accuracy and productivity to the bending of tubes up to 4" (102 mm) in diameter. The unit can handle difficult applications with little or no straight bend or where tight radius bends are required. The ELECT102 tube bender provides for very short programming and set-up time. The position and power settings of each electric axis are saved together with the part program. The bender also provides for excellent repeatability with unmanned operations as all set-up parameters are saved with the current program," said a company spokesperson.

The E-TURN52 bends tube to 2.05" (52 mm) in dia. with right hand and left hand configurations and provides flexibility with no mechanical adjustments needed. The E-TURN52 is suited for complex bending and increased productivity.

The new and compact SMART all electric eight axes tube bender with 3D visual programming software can bend tube to 1.10" (28 mm) and can easily switch into right hand and left hand configuration with the ability to multi stack offering the possibility of lights out operation.
