Computer Tomograph for the Inspection of Small, Complex Parts
October 1, 2015
Zeiss Industrial Metrology is featuring the METROTOM 800, plus additional systems at SOUTH-TEC 2015 in booth 1920, designed to enhance customer productivity and increase accuracy. The ZEISS METROTOM 800 computer tomograph was specifically developed for 3D measurements and structural inspections of complex parts made of plastic, composite materials and ceramic. With the help of metrotomography - the combination of metrology and tomography - this measuring system enables both the dimensional measurement of the geometry and the inspection of the interior structure of parts up to 150 millimeters.
Multisensor Technology
The O-INSPECT 322 is the smallest system with which Zeiss is expanding the range of applications of its coordinate measuring machines. The system unites contact Zeiss scanning and optical measuring. This combination is now available in three sizes with measuring ranges up to 800 x 600 x 300 mm. All machines use the same sensors and function; the difference is in the measuring range.
Flexible Surface and Roundness Measurement Systems
The NEX series of surface and roundness instruments allows both types of measurements to be completed with one system. SURFCOM NEX offers a single hybrid detector to measure surface texture and contour at the same time. RONDCOM NEX is designed for spindle accuracy and allows optional surface roughness measurements in the horizontal, vertical and radial axes.
