New Automated 3D Printing Quote Engine

Cimquest, Inc., has released the APTUS Automated Quote Engine, which is designed to streamline the 3D printing process and eliminate the timely back-and-forth between customer and printer. "Cimquest's proprietary quote engine will enable users to explore all technology and parameter options so that they can choose the best solution for their budget," said a company spokesperson. "The system will allow customers to easily leverage Cimquest's diverse range of 3D printers at their convenience, with the ability to submit jobs around the clock."

Customers can input their part specifications, upload their files, choose shipping preferences and obtain a quote for their part. From there, they can edit these specifications or order the part immediately. Customers can then follow their jobs from submission to printing to shipment, all within APTUS. Additionally, orders will be saved in the system for future use; they can be re-ordered verbatim or edited and re-ordered with new specifications.

"Cimquest's APTUS Quote Engine interface is simple, consistent, comprehensive and completely automated," said the spokesperson. "For example, if a part will not fit in the build chamber, the customer is instantly given this feedback and informed of any additional costs."

"In today's world, customers need streamlined solutions to their business requirements, but the systems to support 3D printing technology have lagged," said Cimquest's CEO Rob Hassold. "I felt that we needed to develop and invest in technology that would bring the customer experience to a new level for users looking to outsource their 3D printing needs. APTUS was created to fill that industry void."
