Expanded Rotary Table Offering
September 1, 2015
Introduced in September 2014, Pioneer's own brand of rotary tables are engineered to be cost effective mid-range rotary tables for small to mid-range machining centers. Nobu Kiriyama, President of Pioneer N.A., said, "We have been selling the Yukiwa Seiko line of tables since 2003. Yukiwa is a high brake torque, sealed, feature rich table but does not meet the price point of entry-level machines. After much research and testing, we are now offering a table line made in Taiwan that provides mid to high end clamp torque with a competitive price for the entry level market."
Pioneer has expanded the initial offering to include 320 mm, 400 mm and 500 mm in stock at its location in Elk Grove Village, IL. Multi-spindle models, roller cam models and 5-axis tables up to 2,000 mm are also available upon request. "The Pioneer tables can be configured with air or hydraulic clamping to provide the clamp torque of well-known Japanese built tables at a fraction of the price," said a company spokesperson.
Integrated rotary tables provide fully synchronized "turn & cut" by utilizing the machine tool control. Pioneer also offers a complete indexer package that utilizes a programmable NC control, including a servomotor, amplifier and cables. The control box is connected to the machine control via M-code signal. Pioneer indexer packages also include a feature that allows the download of macro program commands such as "FANUC Macro B" from most controls such as FANUC, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Okuma, Siemens and others via RS232 port. A Pioneer indexer package is suitable when the indexer is used on multiple machines.
Fourth axis, 5th axis, EDM, heavy duty and specials tables are available upon request.
