"Designed for use in either rotary or stationary applications, the precision Dunham air collet chuck provides for precise concentricity and positioning adjustment," said a company spokesperson. "Workholding pressure is highly adjustable based on the fine adjustment characteristics of controlled air pressure."
Suitable for use on tilting rotary tables, cylindrical grinders or dial index tables, the Dunham air collet chuck is designed for air activation and spring deactivation. "It is highly durable, and the mechanical action is accurate and repeatable," said the spokesperson.
Complete Dunham collet chucking kits include Dunham mounting adapters designed for American standard and camlock spindles as well as all rotary table, grinder and spindle nose configurations. Also in the complete kits are rotary unions, hand or foot valve kits, air tubes and center plugs for central location of the rotary unions and air tubes.
Dunham Tool has designed and manufactured workholding, toolholding and spindle solutions since 1958. Dunham air collet chuck systems are one of a wide range of Dunham workholding and spindle devices: 50M spindle headstocks, collet chucks, collet and chuck actuators and cylinders, machinable expanding mandrels, expanding collets, bar puller systems, as well as 5C, 16C and 3J "plug and play" collet chucking systems for all lathes, rotary tables, grinding machines and special machines. Thru hole and no thru hole kits are available.
