Hollow Spindle Oil Country Lathes

The Summit 42" Series are designed to provide precision and reliability in today's demanding applications. The lathes are available in center distances from 80" to 360" with spindle bores from 6.1" to 14.1" to cover a wide range of workpieces, and feature castings that are heavily ribbed for rigidity and vibration dampening.
The headstock is designed with straight cut final drive gears engineered to provide quiet and efficient operation through the full range of spindle speeds. The bed is constructed from high-grade alloyed cast iron normalized and aged to achieve enhanced stability. The extra wide (22") bedways are hardened and precision ground for high accuracy and long life. An additional third way is available on the front of the bed for additional support to the carriage to prevent deflection, even in heavy cuts.
The Summit come equipped with front and rear 4-jaw chucks, a steady rest and follow rest, apron and pendant controls, a hydraulic semi-automatic threading device and hardened and precision ground bedways, as well as more included features and accessories.
