New Training and Offline Programming Solution
September 1, 2015
Siemens offers its newest version of Sinutrain, version 4.5 Edition 2. Based upon the original numerical control (NC) kernel, Sinutrain for Sinumerik Operate provides training and offline programming.
This intuitive, PC-based solution consists of control-identical software, which has been tailored to meet individual user requirements. It provides mill and lathe operators with a high degree of practical hands-on experience prior to using the CNCs on their actual machines.
With Sinutrain, actual NC programs are developed and simulated using a direct connection to the company's CAD systems to further speed the program generation protocol. In this way, operators not only learn the control language commands, but they also visualize part programs on a PC screen that are identical to the actual machine screen. Additionally, programs generated through Sinutrain on the PC software can then be utilized on the machines.
Through Sinutrain, the installation and commissioning of Sinumerik Integrate functions, such as Manage MyTools and Manage MyPrograms, can be enabled at a later time. Sinutrain for Sinumerik Operate can also be adjusted to the axis configurations of different CNC machines, allowing maximum compatibility of NC programs created offline with the machine tools used in production.
