The BLOHM PROFIMAT MC is built to be a compact and heavy-duty production grinding machine. "The traveling column design, combined with the use of pre-loaded linear guideways and high-precision re-circulating ball screw drives in all axes, provides the necessary rigidity and high machine dynamic and reduces maintenance requirements," said a company spokesperson. "The stainless steel enclosure with built-in control panel ensures durability and longevity of the machine."
The machine table size of the PROFIMAT MC 607 is 600 x 700 mm. The PROFIMAT MC series is available with CNC control Siemens 840D sl including operator guidance.
"The PROFIMAT MC employs the latest grinding technology for flexible use in various applications," said the spokesperson. "A broad range of optional accessories, including spindle drives up to 62 kW, guarantees good performance using conventional, CD or IPD creep feed grinding or any CBN grinding methods."
Equipped with a double NC rotary table and an automatic loading system, the PROFIMAT MC is suitable for continuous path controlled creep feed grinding of turbine vane segments. An optional tool changer, overhead dressing system and RazorTec coolant nozzle trace system are also available.
