At WESTEC 2015, Sept. 15-17 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, REGO-FIX Tool Corporation will showcase three of its newest precision tooling products. "On display in Schenk Intertech's booth 1035 will be the powRgrip 9500, a smaller sized, automatic clamping unit; secuRgrip, an anti-pullout toolholding system; and intRlox, a small but mighty innovation for effective wrench locking," said a company spokesperson.
The recently introduced PGU 9500 automatic clamping unit is an extension of REGO-FIX's powRgrip line of toolholding systems. "It operates in the same manner as the company's existing clamping units but is smaller in size, has fewer moving parts, incorporates long-lasting durable proximity switches and has a streamlined exterior design," said the spokesperson. "These design changes boost reliability, operator efficiency, system longevity and energy savings.
"Also representing the powRgrip product line at the show will be secuRgrip, an anti-pullout system that brings simple, effective tool locking to challenging metal removal applications. This toolholding system locks the collet and cutter to the toolholder body to eliminate cutter slippage with a patented locking system that includes a small profiled locking key insert that fits into a standard Weldon endmill flat." powRgrip secuRgrip has a TIR of 0.0001" and enables manufacturers to preset their tool heights. REGO-FIX customers can modify existing powRgrip holders for use with the system. The secuRgrip locking system is now also available for ER collets and milling chucks.
"Booth visitors will also see the slip-proof intRlox mini clamping nuts featuring a frontal milled slot on the outside diameter that mates perfectly to a corresponding wrench to prevent slippage during the tightening or loosening process," said the spokesperson. "These new clamping nuts, which are suitable for the company's sealing or cooling disks, have a special surface treatment for increased clamping force and a unique coating that prevents corrosion. intRlox is currently available in ER 11, 16 and 20 sizes for standard versions, and ER 16 and 20 for coolant versions. It offers benefits such as improved operator safety, internal and external cooling, improved chip removal, reduced tool costs and improved productivity."
