Hyundai WIA Machine America will have multiple CNC machines on display at WESTEC in booth 1515. The event will be the first time the new and improved F500 Plus vertical machining center (VMC) is displayed in the U.S.
"In addition to vertical machining, product experts will host demonstrations of the latest advances in compact CNC turning and multitask turning centers - the very technology Hyundai Motors relies on to build parts for the roughly 8 million cars it produces across the globe annually," said a company spokesperson.
Technology on display will include:
This machine utilizes a high-precision, high-torque BIG PLUS spindle in a construction that virtually eliminates thermal growth during heavy-duty cutting, the company reported. "Thirty-position, servo-powered tool magazines make for quick and reliable tool changes," said the spokesperson. "High-speed axis travel on roller linear motion guideways reduces non-cutting time for greater productivity."
- E160A Compact CNC Turning Center
"This compact turning center offers high productivity in a small-footprint, affordable package," said the spokesperson. The center's 45°, one-piece casting bed structure and 6" chuck provide rigidity and strength for high-performance machining of small diameter parts. The E160A features a travel speed of 30 m/min on linear motion guideways.
- LM1600TTSY Multitasking Turning Center
This turning center has twin spindles that have the same RPM, horsepower, torque and bar capacity. It also features two turrets that can each operate on either spindle or both. "These capabilities allow for optimal cycle distribution between the spindles, balanced process time and complete machining of a complete part in a single process with no additional set-ups," said the spokesperson.
