New Ergonomic Stereo Microscope for HD Image Capture

Vision Engineering Inc. offers the new Mantis Elite-Cam HD ergonomic stereo microscope. "The Mantis Elite-Cam HD combines the 3D optics of the Mantis Elite with the power and flexibility of HD image capture," said a company spokesperson.
"The ergonomic eyepiece-less design of the microscope offers many benefits," said the spokesperson. "An ergonomic body position makes the Mantis Elite-Cam HD comfortable and easy to use. The risk of repetitive strain-related injuries is also minimized. The microscope offers freedom of head movement, a natural view of the subject and the ability to wear glasses during inspection. The spokesperson stated that the Mantis Elite-Cam HD, bundled with uEye software and HD USB camera, offers the following features:
- Patented optical technology for image quality up to 20x magnification
- Image capture (.bmp, .jpg, .png) and video recording (.avi) for training purposes
- Enhanced optics and greater resolution
- Camera settings such as white balance, gain, contrast and color channel gain for individual applications
- Good hand-eye coordination for inspection and manipulation tasks.
