Drill for Energy Manufacturing
September 1, 2015
The ISCAR Chameleon line now features a larger diameter range of 1.3" - 1.57". The company reported that the CHAMIQDRILL employs a new insert positioning and locking mechanism that eliminates the need for clamps or screws commonly found on drills for larger diameters. This design allows for easy indexing on the machine to reduce set-up downtime.
The cutting edge geometry provides a mechanically efficient cutting action designed to reduce power consumption and noise and increase material removal rates. The new generation clamping mechanism is engineered to provide insert security and long body life. The self-centering cutting point offers enhanced hole straightness and finish.
