At PMTS 2015 in booth 763, REGO-FIX will showcase several precision tooling products. "One of these products will be a small cylindrical adapter designed for effective tool locking and accuracy," said a company spokesperson. The company will also display its retrofit coolant-through system for live tooling and a representation of the company's ER system of collets and holders.
The new slip-proof intRlox mini clamping nuts from REGO-FIX feature a frontal milled slot on their outside diameter that is built to mate perfectly to a corresponding wrench to prevent slippage during the tightening or loosening process. These new clamping nuts, which are suitable for the company's sealing or cooling disks, have a special surface treatment for increased clamping force and a coating that is designed to prevent corrosion. intRlox is currently available in ER 11, 16 and 20 sizes for standard versions, and ER 16 and 20 for coolant versions. "It offers many benefits, including improved operator safety due to slip-proof clamping, internal and external cooling, improved chip removal, reduced tool costs and improved productivity," said the spokesperson.
REGO-FIX's SwissQuick ER-to-ER adapters are designed to allow users to preset tooling offline and replace worn tools in seconds, thereby reducing downtime and increasing productivity on Swiss-style machines. "These space-saving adapters are short miniature toolholders that feature a larger solid ER body on the back and a smaller ER series cavity in front," said the spokesperson. "Such a design allows for the shortest, most rigid ER-to-ER reduction available and makes them ideal for automation and lights-out operations because there is no need to touch off the tools after a routine change."
According to the company, the retrofit reCool coolant-through system quickly and cost effectively brings the benefits of internal cooling to the live tooling used in CNC turning operations. "Able to convert an existing tooling system to include through-coolant in as little as two minutes, reCool is much more effective in getting coolant to the cutting edge than spray pipes or nozzles," said the spokesperson. "It achieves standard speeds up to 12,000 RPM and pressures up to 1,000 PSI. Higher speeds and coolant pressures are available upon request. With reCool, live tools featuring external threads (ISO 15488/DIN 6499) can machine faster and last longer." The system is also built to work in conjunction with REGO-FIX collets, sealing and coolant flush disks, milling cutters and drills with diameters from 0.098" to 1.02".
"Other advanced toolholding products to be presented in REGO-FIX's booth include ER/DM metallic sealed collets that feature a 16-slot design that allows a wide clamping range while maintaining the best T.I.R., and ER 11 mini-floating holders," said the spokesperson. "Show attendees will also see the company's ERM Swiss Quick."
