Okuma America Corporation recently opened its newly expanded vertical warehouse part storage area. "It provides even faster and more effective spare parts replacement service for Okuma customers," said a company spokesperson.
"The expansion gives us better control of inventory accuracy and expedited shipping of parts," said Mike Vassil, Senior Manager Service Parts. "By streamlining storage and maximizing space in our CNC and Mechanical Exchange departments, we will be able to increase mechanical exchange capabilities to efficiently service more spindle and cam box repairs in our Charlotte office." An expansion of Okuma's mechanical repair and exchange services space is under way and is expected to be completed before 2016.
