The Mini Spiral Mill-Thread cutter line from Carmex Precision Tools, Ltd., extends thread cutting capability to diameters as small as 5/8 16 UN and 3/8 18 NPT.
"Designed with Carmex's Helical Advantage for better performance and improved finish, the Mini Spiral line permits faster cutting action and reduced cycle time with less vibration and chatter," said a company spokesperson. Compatible toolholders are equipped with an internal coolant bore and have a capacity of one to three inserts. Inserts are available in MT7 sub-micron grade with TiAlN multi-layer coating for improved performance in hard materials and extended tool live.
Spiral Mill-Threads are available in all major thread classifications in a wide variety of sizes.
