Connection Base Holder Designed for Efficiency

EXSYS Tool, Inc. offers its compact EPPINGER C3, C4 and C5 connection base holder, which offers fast changeover times to enhance efficiency and productivity.
"When compared to traditional designs, the compact size of the EPPINGER C3, C4 and C5 base holder provides more space for machining larger workpieces, as well as improved torque transmission and rigidity for increased tool accuracy," said a company spokesperson. "The interface's cone-style shape further adds to its high precision and stiffness."
A built-in release mechanism on the outer diameter of the connection base holder's spindle provides enhanced operator accessibility. Operators can lock and unlock adapters with a small Allen key for fast tool changes. The automatic ejection of the adapters is designed to further increase the speed and efficiency of tool exchanges.
Available for bolt-on and VDI-style turrets, the EPPINGER connection base holder accommodates fixed and rotary tools, including the EXSYS/EPPINGER PRECI-FLEX system, and accepts all standard PSC adapters. According to the company, adapters used in milling applications will now work in turning operations due to the versatility of the product.
