REGO-FIX to Demonstrate Products at Northwest Machine Tool Expo 2015
March 23, 2015REGO-FIX will highlight several precision tooling products on April 1-2 at the Northwest Machine Tool Expo 2015 in Portland, OR, in A&I Marketing's booth 615. "We will show a new innovation for effective tool locking and a one-of-a-kind retrofit coolant-through system for live tooling," said a company spokesperson. Also on display will be a toolholding system that is designed to enable quick and uncomplicated tool changing, and a representation of the company's ER System of collets and holders.
"The new slip-proof intRlox mini clamping nuts from REGO-FIX feature a frontal milled slot on their outside diameter that mates perfectly to a corresponding wrench to prevent slippage during the tightening or loosening process," said the spokesperson. "These new clamping nuts, which are suitable for the company's sealing or cooling disks, have a special surface treatment for increased clamping force and a coating that prevents corrosion." intRlox is currently available in ER 11, 16 and 20 sizes for standard versions and ER 16 and 20 for coolant version. It offers benefits such as improved operator safety due to slip-proof clamping, internal and external cooling, improved chip removal, reduced tool costs and improved productivity.
"The retrofit reCool coolant-through system quickly and cost effectively brings the benefits of internal cooling to the live tooling used in CNC turning operations," said the spokesperson. "Able to convert an existing tooling system to include through-coolant in as little as two minutes, reCool is more effective in getting coolant to the cutting edge than spray pipes or nozzles." reCool is designed to achieve standard speeds up to 12,000 RPM and pressures up to 1,000 PSI. Higher speeds and coolant pressures are available upon request. "With reCool, live tools featuring external threads (ISO 15488/DIN 6499) can machine faster and last longer," said the spokesperson. The system also works in conjunction with REGO-FIX collets, sealing and coolant flush disks, milling cutters and drills with diameters from 0.098" to 1.02".
The company will also demonstrate the powRgrip Toolholding Collet System, including the recent product line expansions with the PG-S short shank and PG-L long shank powRgrip collets. "The powRgrip system relies on the interference between holder and collet to generate high clamping forces equal to or higher than shrink-fit holders," said the spokesperson. "It uses the mechanical properties of the holder material to generate tremendous gripping force with run-out below 0.0001 inch. powRgrip collets will hold both carbide and HSS tools."
